Abducted Ondo farmers regain freedom after four days in captivity
Ten farmers abducted at a farm in Ayede- Ogbese, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, have regained their freedom.

It was gathered that a farmer, identified as Femi Alawiye, and nine of his workers were kidnapped by armed men on his farm on Saturday evening.
According to Channels Television, a family member of the farmer said that a few hours after the abduction, the kidnappers contacted the family, demanding a sum of N100 million ransom which they later reduced to N10 million naira after much negotiation.
It is not certain if the family of the victims paid ransom to secure their release. Spokesperson of Ondo State Police Command, DSP Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed their release. He said the victims regained their freedom in the early hours of Wednesday, February 2.
